Prof. K.K. Adarkwah, vice- chancellor of KNUST, has finally commissioned the Royal Parade Grounds. The Royal Parade Ground is meant for Recreation and also comes with a huge space for the organization of outdoor events and various gatherings in the university.

The commissioning was done at a brief ceremony Tuesday morning which witnessed a massive attendance. He said the project which started in 2008 had faced a number of challenges in its execution. The vice chancellor therefore used the occasion to express his appreciation to individual and banks that assisted in diverse ways to ensure the completion of the parade ground.

Prof. K.K Adarkwa assured the university community that the ground will be put to good use and the funds accrued from its use will be managed judiciously.

He finally called on the patrons of the ground to use it properly without damaging it.

The Royal parade Grounds is an environment of shady trees furnished with seats, an ATM banking centre, Snack dispensing machines, constant electricity ensured by a stand-by generator, electrical sockets where students can sit and use their laptops whiles taking in the impressive view of some of the halls of residence.
