In recent times Kumasi has enjoyed the best of entertainment although the national cameras continue to lie on the capital city Accra. Such entertainment activities include the “Home Coming” of Daddy Lumba over the Christmas, the live show by Kojo Antwi and so many more but despite all these entertainment events, Kumasi and its environs are yet to witness the first ever stand Up Comedy.
The event organised by Slow Entertainment and L.O.L., both KNUST campus based entertainment groups comes off on the 19th of February 2011 at the KNUST Law Auditorium and will be the first of its kind in the Garden City to showcase the best of Ghanaian comedy artistes such as David Oscar, the regular host of Laugh A Minute on Viasat One, Foster, Aglah, Percy, and DKB from Nigeria. The show which runs twice that night will start with the first session from 6:30pm till 8:30pm and final session from 9:00pm till 11:00pm.
The much anticipated event will also host some of the prolific music stars in Kumasi such as Screech, K Quan, Kay -C, Viva, Ghetto Reps, trix, Looney, Extreme and Trigger. They promise total hours of rib cracking laughter and Gh. Entertainment. Tickets go for 10 Ghana Cedis.
