NDC To Strip Rawlings Of Founder Title

Credible Information reaching the Patriot indicates that some strong elements within the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) who are peeved that Former President Rawlings is the sole father of the party, have held a top ranking meeting at the Castle to push for a constitutional review process.

The meeting which was held in the late night of Wednesday 14th, July 2010 was to suggest ways to amend some laws of the party which seem to portray that Former President Rawlings is the sole founder of the party as well as deliberate on recent developments within the party.

According to our deep throat sources, Ex-President Rawlings would no longer be referred to as the found of the party since the party would now have founding fathers like it is in the New Patriotic Party.

Some NDC big shots who were alleged to have attended the meeting included the Ahwoi Brothers that is Ato Ahwoi, Kwamena Ahwio and Kwesi Ahwoi.

Others were Squadron Leader Clend Sowu, Tsatus Tsikata and a former senior advisor in the Rawlings regime. President John Mills and Mr. Kwabena Adjei, National Chairman of the NDC were allegedly present at the said meeting, according to our source. Persons who hold allegiance to the Former President were however exempted from the meeting.

According to our anonymous source it was discussed at the meeting that former President Rawlings is the founder the PNDC and not the NDC so he can no longer be referred to as the founder of the party.

Concerns were also raised about recent criticisms from Mr. Rawlings which were mostly directed at the party and the President. This prompted one of the big shots to disclose that Rawlings is imposing himself on the party and that the time has come for him to be thought a lesson.

The big shots also hinted at the meeting that they are not unaware that Mr. Rawlings is working tirelessly to win the party to himself and therefore threatened to resist the attempt. The big shots also asserted that if the ‘Founding fathers plot’ is able to materialize then Mr. Rawlings can be challenged on certain comments he makes in public.
